Three…going on Four
07/11/2010
When I was planning my photo shoot with Laura today, I needed to know how many balloons to buy for C’s big day in front of my lens. I asked her, “He’s going to be four, right?” And she replied, “Well, technically in January. It still counts as his three-year photos if I get them done within the year, right!?!?” Lol. Yes, Laura. They still count.:)
As usual, I had a ton of fun shooting one of her kiddos at my “studio,” as well as at the local park. They are always very well behaved, and both of them are so, so beautiful.
We got a little creative with props this afternoon — in addition to balloons, I also purchased seven Chinese paper lanterns and hung them (ahem, I mean, Tom hung them) from a large tree near my home. Those photos turned out great! It’s always so fun playing around with new ideas that pop into my head.
Laura, enjoy your sneak peek! Thanks again for a fun afternoon!

Little Miss A.
06/28/2010
Tonight marked Round 3 of photos for Miss A, here. I started taking photos for her and her family about a year ago, and each time – as she gets older (and smarter! Not even two years old, and she recognizes all 26 letters in the alphabet!) – she is more and more fun to work with. Never have I had such a busy little girl in front of my lens, so it was definitely a challenge.
I like a good challenge, though.
Also, it definitely works to her advantage. If every smile I gave resulted in fruit snacks and candy, I’d be acting “busy” all the time too! Ha!
Thanks again, Liz. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Blue-eyed Beauty…
06/07/2010
I’ve taken photos of Miss S here now three times, and each time I am always so pleased. Having a beautiful subject always, always, always helps make my job so much easier. All this little one has to do is look in the general direction of the camera, and the photo turns out beautifully.
I’m in a bit of a “vintage” mood these days, and can’t seem to stray from the antique processing. Hopefully that’s ok with my clients, lol…I am much more into the fine art of photography, rather than the plain ol’ photos you see at your local mall.
Nicole, thanks again — as usual, it was so much fun hanging out today. (Oh, and a word to Kristin – thanks for letting use your property…it was great!). Enjoy your sneak peek!
(I loved this photo, by the way. It reminded me of the old classics we used to take in the early ’80s at Sears. The only thing missing is the tiny shot of her mom’s face in the upper right-hand corner, lol).
It’s still not too late to book your mini-session for Father’s Day. There are three spots left!
Also, if you want to book a regular session with Catherine Jeter Photography before June 15th, you will receive a $50 print credit. Just email me at catherinejeter@mac.com .

Baby (Toddler?) C. :)
05/25/2010
It’s hard for me to imagine C as anything more than a baby, since I started taking her photos when she was 6 months old. Now that she is approaching the two-year mark, it’s crazy to see not only how far she has come, but how far my photography has come. What a difference a couple of years makes!
Since day one, she has been one of my most beautiful clients. I absolutely love to put her in front of my lens. Can you see why?
Laura, I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek.

Big Brother J and Little Sister J
05/18/2010
These two cuties came to my home the other day, and I was absolutely blown away. First of all, Big Brother J was a total willing participant in front of the camera — very, very rare for a 4-year-old! Second of all, Little Sister J had the most beautiful, stunning walnut-shaped eyes I had ever seen…I told her mom that they were a photographer’s dream. Because, let’s be honest, they are!
The point of this shoot was to snag 4-year photos for big brother, and 6-month photos for little sister. I think it worked out pretty well.
Helen, it was lovely to meet you this weekend. Enjoy your sneak peek!

Baby L is here!
05/17/2010
It’s been awhile since I have updated this blog! While I have been constantly taking photos, it seems like I’ve been doing more shots of my own family than anything. Now that Spring is here, my clients have started to come out of the woodwork a bit.
Including my newest client, this little guy, L. Oh my, what a doll. He was perfect and let me do pretty much anything I wanted. He was so super sleepy and didn’t fuss a bit. Babies like this make my job so easy!
Congratulations Stacy and Aaron! And thanks for letting me invade your home for a few hours!

Baby A and Big Brother H
03/22/2010
This past week I did a photo shoot for a great friend of mine, Susan. She came allllll the way from Texas to see me and my family, so we snuck about two hours in for pictures. It’s so fun to have known someone for so long (almost 10 years!) and then watch them transform into a mom and see their children grow into similar people. And, of course, her kids are absolutely beautiful.
Here is your sneak peek, Susan. I love you and I miss you! Enjoy your photos.

Tonya and Jonathan
03/03/2010
So, five years ago, I had the honor of standing next to Tonya in her wedding as she married the number one man in her life. Later, I found out that she never got a chance to take the engagement photos she had longed to have. So, as somewhat of a belated wedding gift, I traveled to Chicago and we spent the day in downtown.
Both of them were such great sports — it was easily in the 20s, and Tonya not only sported a strapless dress, but she trudged through the snow in high heels as well. We had a ton of fun, though, and it was great seeing the sights while we were down there. Chicago is a much more beautiful city than I had imagined it to be…I was so grateful for the opportunity to work in the heart of the Windy City.
